Wallible Leaderboard: How the Resilience Score Works
Learn how the Wallible leaderboard ranks users with a habit-based Resilience Score, privacy tiers, levels, and badges — not investment returns.
The Wallible leaderboard is a gamified way to compare healthy investing habits with other users. It is not a ranking of who made the highest return, who took the most risk, or who has the largest portfolio.
The goal is simple: reward users who track, analyse, and learn consistently.
What the leaderboard measures
Wallible uses a Resilience Score from 0 to 100. The score is based on actions that improve long-term portfolio discipline:
| Area | Weight | Examples |
|---|---|---|
| Portfolio tracking | 40% | Creating a portfolio, adding trades, running portfolio audits, keeping data updated |
| Analysis | 35% | Running backtests, improving diversification, comparing strategies |
| Education | 25% | Completing educational milestones and learning content |
Returns are intentionally excluded. A user does not rank higher because a portfolio happened to perform better in a given month.
Why returns are excluded
Short-term returns can reward luck, concentration, leverage, or excessive risk. Wallible wants the leaderboard to encourage behaviours that investors can control:
- keeping portfolio data accurate;
- checking risk and diversification;
- testing decisions before acting;
- learning the metrics behind the portfolio;
- building repeatable habits.
This makes the leaderboard more useful for long-term investors and avoids turning it into a speculative contest.
Score components
Inside the app, the Resilience Score can be broken down into:
- Portfolio tracking — regular tracking, portfolio creation, trades, calculations, and audit completion.
- Analysis — use of backtesting and diversification-improvement workflows.
- Education — progress through educational milestones.
Each component is normalised to a 0–100 scale and combined with the weights above.
Levels, tiers, and badges
Alongside the Resilience Score, Wallible can show:
- Level — grows as you earn total points from eligible actions.
- Tier — Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Diamond, based on cumulative progress.
- Badges — optional recognitions such as innovator, early adopter, ambassador, or founding team.
These elements make progress visible without implying investment advice or performance superiority.
Privacy options
Participation is opt-in. Wallible supports three privacy tiers:
| Tier | What happens |
|---|---|
| Private | You do not appear on the leaderboard. |
| Anonymous | Your score can appear, but your username is hidden. |
| Public | Your opted-in username and score appear on the leaderboard. |
You can join, leave, or update your leaderboard username from the app. Usernames must be unique and follow the app’s allowed character rules.
How to improve your ranking
To improve your Resilience Score, focus on habits rather than market outcomes:
- Keep your portfolio updated.
- Add transactions accurately.
- Run portfolio audits and review risk.
- Use backtests before changing strategy.
- Improve diversification when the data suggests it.
- Complete educational milestones.
