Connect Your Portfolios to External AI Apps (MCP)
Connect Claude Code or Claude to Wallible's MCP server to read your portfolios, backtests and comparisons, search ETFs, shares and bonds, and run simulations.
You can connect your own AI assistant to Wallible through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Once connected, your assistant can work with your Wallible data and market data on your behalf.
What your assistant can do
- Read your portfolios, holdings, backtests and comparisons.
- Search ETFs, shares and bonds.
- Run portfolio simulations.
MCP server URL
Every assistant connects to the same address:
https://core.wallible.com/mcp
Wallible’s server is listed in the official MCP registry as com.wallible/core.
Claude Code
In a terminal, add the server:
claude mcp add --transport http wallible https://core.wallible.com/mcpStart Claude Code, run
/mcp, select wallible and sign in with your Wallible account in the browser window that opens.
By default the server is available in the current project only. Add --scope user to the command to use it in every project.
Claude (web, desktop and mobile)
- Open Customize > Connectors in Claude (older versions show it as Settings > Connectors).
- Click Add custom connector.
- Paste
https://core.wallible.com/mcpas the server URL and click Add. - Click Connect, sign in with your Wallible account and approve the access.
The connector is tied to your Claude account, so it also appears in the desktop and mobile apps. On the Free plan Claude allows one custom connector. On Team and Enterprise plans an Owner adds the connector under Organization settings > Connectors, then each member clicks Connect.
What your plan includes
Free accounts get market data only, such as searching ETFs, shares and bonds and reading their data. Access to your portfolios, holdings, backtests and comparisons requires the Investor plan or above.
Privacy
Your assistant reads your Wallible data only after you approve the connection. The answers come from your assistant, not from Wallible.
Nothing your assistant says is financial advice.
How to disconnect
- Remove the connector in your assistant: in Claude, go to Customize > Connectors and click Remove; in Claude Code, run
claude mcp remove wallible. - Or use Disconnect all assistants in the Settings of the Wallible app. This removes access for every connected assistant at once. A session that is already open can keep working for up to an hour, until its current access expires.
More assistants
More assistants, such as ChatGPT, Le Chat, VS Code and Cursor, will be listed here once we have tested them.
